For biker scribe Eddie ‘Sorez’ Pliska, poetry is as much about capturing his passion for the moto lifestyle and the raw energy of two-wheeled travel in prose, as it is about documenting determination in the face of the often-harsh struggles of life. He has had his fair share of both.

Here is Sorez's exclusive December piece, titled Life in the Wind, about making amends for past transgressions through words of comfort. All the best for the upcoming holiday season, whatever your beliefs. And may 2024 bring some peace back into our lives.

Sorez, a contributing writer for Outlaw Biker Magazine who also has a popular book of poetry out, graciously pens some inspiration for the NYC Motorcyclist community each month. You can read more about Sorez in a feature NYC Motorcyclist published in the spring of 2018.

Life in the Wind

I would like to leave
A little piece of me
Inside the hearts
Of those I love
My hope for some
That I have wronged
Is that my words
Might be of comfort
For bro’s I’ve met
Out on the road
We have shared miles
I wrote some poems
Sharing the gift
That’s been given me
Two wheels open roads
Living life in the wind
