For biker scribe Eddie ‘Sorez’ Pliska, poetry is as much about capturing his passion for the moto lifestyle and the raw energy of two-wheeled travel in prose, as it is about documenting determination in the face of the often-harsh struggles of life. He has had his fair share of both.

Here is Sorez's exclusive July piece, titled 100 Miles Towards Brotherhood ..., a tribute to the power of two-wheeled brotherhood ... keeps you moving in troubled times with unquestioned support, and on a positive path through the journey that is life.

Sorez, who has a new book of poetry out, graciously agreed to pen some inspiration for the NYC Motorcyclist community each month. You can read more about Sorez in a feature NYC Motorcyclist published in the spring of 2018.

100 Miles Towards Brotherhood
Silver Surfer On The Hunt

Where the rubber meets the road
And no one is left behind
When a brother has gone down
Out there on his ride
Not to be forgotten about
Throughout long downtime
Healing don’t come easy
Pain a constant reminder
But for an old school brother
The resolve is deep and true
To push beyond the limits
A better man be ruined
Only way to remain focused
To keep that frame of mind
A bottle of that sweet perfume
Grease, oil, gas, and grime
A bag of tools upon the floor
Of that scented garage
A ride in need of TLC
And bro’s who find the time
A hundred miles for brotherhood
An easy choice to make
If those pins were in my foot
Brothers would be on their way
